rabenstrange.com

Google decided to violate it's motto and be evil. They no longer allow me to link to my wordpress blog when commenting on Blogger.

I don't use my Blogger account for posting. Find my recent posts at rabenstrange.com

Rabenstrange.com Open for Business!

After months of work, I have finally realized that my new site, while not perfect is already (debateablely) better than this one and so I've decided to make the switch. Go Now

I'll probably double post to this site for a little while longer but the days of rabenstranger.blogspot.com are numbered.

Night Ride: Shinjuku - Yasukuni Dori

On my way home from school today, I shot some pictures of my route. Despite having lived in Japan for more than four months now, the brightly lit displays along the main streets still impress me. More Pics

I'll try to put pics up more often. The things I see everyday can be pretty interesting.

Cliche

From Hank's questionaire on the Brotherhood 2.0 Podcast comes this question: If you were a cliche, which one would you be?

John wanted to be a "Dark and stormy night."

I would choose, "to wax eloquent."

How about you, if YOU were a cliche, which would you be? Reply in the comments.

The Pursuit of Happiness

On the recommendation of several friends, I watched The Pursuit of Happiness, the new Will Smith Movie based on the true story of a man who through effort and perseverance worked his way up from homelessness to become a multi-millionaire stock broker.

While I've never been homeless before, as I see my time at school coming to a close and my bank balance rapidly plunging toward zero, I feel a kinship with Smith's character and hope that in a few months when I'm the one looking for a job in the financial services sector God will bless me with the contacts, diligence and the touch of luck necessary to land a career.

If you find a spare moment, say a prayer and ask God to give me the wisdom to plot the right course and the faith not to worry.

Another Reason to Hate the U.N.

Fox News is reporting on yet another U.N. scandal and cover-up. Apparently the tough talking new Secretary General is just as crooked as his predecessor.

You'd think that an organization so condescendingly self-righteous as the U.N. would be able to pick an honest leader once in awhile but it seems that the graft and corruption are not so much a problem at the U.N. but the essence on which the U.N. is based.

It has always been my opinion that the U.S. should never have joined the orginization and I that now, amidst yet another scandal we should consider withdrawing from it and saving the U.S. taxpayer some money.
